Nation offers prayers for rain

A large number of faithful offered prayers for rain (Salat Al Istisqa) across the UAE on Friday, in line with the directives of the president


ABU DHABI - A large number of faithful offered prayers for rain (Salat Al Istisqa) across the UAE on Friday, in line with the directives of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Rain prayers offered in Al Ain

AL AIN - Muslims in the city of Al Ain supplicated to God for showers responding to a call The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to all Muslim worshippers in the UAE to offer congregational prayers for rain in the tradition of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).

Undersecretary at the Court of Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region Shaikh Hazza Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan joined the prayers.

Shaikh Khalifa Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan also performed the rain prayers at the Shaikh Salama Mosque along with a large number of worshippers.

Preacher Shaikh Nasser Saeed Al Shibili led the prayers, after which he made a short sermon.

Ajman Ruler offers rain prayers

AJMAN - His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman offered rain prayers this morning at the Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Mosque in Manama region.

A number of Shaikhs, state officials, and a large gathering of citizens and residents also joined him the congregational prayers offered in the tradition of Prophet Mohammed, Peace and Blessings of Allah be Upon Him.

The prayers in Ajman were led by Imam Shaikh Bushra Mohammed Abdul Qader, who gave a sermon after the prayers urging the Muslims to get closer to God through piety and worship.

Fujairah Crown Prince offers rain prayers

FUJAIRAH - Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, offered prayers for rain at the Omer-bin-Abdelaziz Mosque in Fujairah this morning.

A number of Shaikhs, senior officials and a large gathering of worshippers joined him in the congregational prayers.

Preacher Shaikh Hassan Abul Ainain led the prayers and gave a sermon, in which he urged the Muslims to invoke God when the heaven holds back its rain.

Rain prayers in Umm Al Qaiwain

UMM AL QAIWAIN - His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Mualla, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Umm Al Qaiwain and Shaikh Abdullah Bin Saud Bin Rashid Al Mualla offered on Friday prayers for rain along with a gathering of worshippers who congregated at the Eid Musalla in the Umm Al Qaiwain city.

A number of other Shaikhs, senior officials, citizens and residents also joined the prayers.

Preacher Shaikh Ibrahim Al Mansouri led the prayers and gave a sermon on the importance of rain prayers in the tradition of Prophet Mohammed (Peace Be Upon Him).

RAK Ruler performs rain prayers

RAS AL KHAIMAH - Salaat Al Istisqa’a (rain-seeking) prayers were performed all over Mosques and Mussallas in the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah early in the morning in pursuit of Prophet Mohammed’s (Peace Be Upon Him) tradition during drought or a delay in rainfall.

His Highness Shaikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, along with a crowd of Shaikhs, senior officials and faithful offered the prayers at the Khuzam Grand Eid Mussalla.

In his sermon, Shaikh Ahmed Ibrahim Al Tunaiji implored worshippers to fear Allah and stay away from sins.
