Ragsdale’s mind. Training for more than 40 hours a week with a professional coach, Scott wants to complete seven Ironman challenges in seven days as part of the Naseba7 challenge to mark the UAE’s 40th National Day.

“I have worked very hard and focused to achieve this stage of physical fitness. I’ve lost more than 25 kilos since I started training,” says Scott.

Juggling between work, family and his passion for fitness, Scott wakes up at 3am for his training session.

“It is a challenge but I want to inspire and motivate other people to start believing in their abilities,” adds Scott.

Recovering from a knee injury suffered during a cycling session recently, Scott will face an uphill task as he recovers from the pain. Scott will begin his Ironman attempt on November 24 in Fujairah, as everyday he will travel to an emirate and cycle 180 kilometres, run for 42 kilometres and swim another 3,800 metres. “I have to heal from my injury but the real challenge is sleeping in between the Ironman challenges. I have tried seven-day training tests and towards the end of the seven days, I wasn’t sleeping. To complete the challenge, I need to sleep properly.”

Pushing boundaries in life and reaching greater heights, Scott believes in being positive.

A high-flying professional, Scott’s love for fitness and endurance events has seen him travel across the globe.

His list of accomplishments is remarkably long. Scott is a two-time Ironman finisher, has run more than 20 marathons, climbed Mount

Kilimanjaro, and successfully completed Marathon des Sables — a seven-day race across the Sahara desert in Morocco, considered to be the most difficult foot race in the world.

In 2010, he also swam across the English Channel.

“I strongly believe we have to make things happen and we can do great things if we focus and don’t get distracted by the obstacles we face.

Keep climbing and don’t give up. I want to positively impact people around me,” concludes Scott.
