HAI offers $600,000 medical aid to Gaza
GAZA - The Human Appeal International (HAI) has supplied medical assistance to the medical sector in Gaza in tune of $600,000 to meet shortage in medicines as a result of Israeli blockade of Gaza Strip.
Emad Al Hadad, Director of HAI Office in Gaza, said the HAI medical assistance was in response to an appeal issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health for urgent supply of medicines.
He added that the HAI in coordination with the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) had provided quantities of medicines for cancer, kidney, psychological and chronic diseases and met requirements for the neonatal intensive care unit.
Health officials in Gaza said the prompt response by the HAI and IDB had saved thousands of lives and eased suffering of scores of patients.
