Rulers, Crown Princes 
Offer Eid Prayers

Their Highnesses Rulers of Emirates and Crown Princes offered Eid Al Adha prayers on Friday amid joy and calls for solidarity and commitment to Islamic norms.


The President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Friday received His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-president and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, at the Al Rodah Palace in Al Ain and exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha andt he 38th National Day anniversary. He also received Their Highnesses and Supreme Council Members, Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah, Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Ruler of Umm Al Quwain and Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, other Shaikhs, dignitaries and well-wishers.—Wam

In Sharjah, His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the Emirate, offered prayers at Al Badea Eid Mussala. Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, Shaikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Municipal Councils Authority, Shaikh Essam bin Saqr bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Head of the Sharjah Ruler’s office, other shaikhs, Abdul Rahman Mohammed Al Owais, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development, members of the executive and consultative councils, senior officials, UAE nationals and Arab and Muslim communities also offered Eid prayers.

In Umm Al Quwain, His Highness Shaikh Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of the emirate, offered prayers at Shaikh Zayed Mosque. Shaikh Rashid bin Saud bin Rashid Al Mualla, Crown Prince, Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Mualla, Deputy Ruler, Shaikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Mualla, head of the Petroleum and Minerals Department in the emirate, other shaikhs, senior officials, tribal dignitaries, nationals, Arab and Muslim communities also offered prayers alongside the Ruler.

Shaikh Khalifa Hassan Khalf stressed in his Eid sermon on the tolerance among people and its significance among Muslims. He called for solidarity and donation to assist orphans and people with special needs.

He prayed to God to safeguard the UAE and its leadership.

After the prayers, the Ruler exchanged greetings with shaikhs and senior officials.

The Crown Prince, too, exchanged Eid greetings with Shaikhs and public.

In Ajman, His Highness Shaikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler, offered prayers. Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince, Shaikh Ahmed bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, head of the Economic Department, Shaikh Abdul Aziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, head of the Culture and Information Department, other shaikhs, senior officials, nationals, Arab and Muslim communities offered prayers alongside the Ruler.

In his sermon, Shaikh Hussein Moueen Al Hosani, Director of the Islamic Institute in Ajman, stressed on humanitarian themes, calling for solidarity among Muslims. He focused on national identity and upbringing of children according to Islamic norms.

After the prayers, the Ruler exchanged Eid greetings with the Crown Prince, sons, other shaikhs, senior officials, nationals, Arab and Muslim communities.

In Fujairah, His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler, offered Eid prayers with public at Grand Eid Mussala. Shaikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince, Shaikh Saleh bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, head of the Industry and Economy Department in Fujairah, Shaikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi, other shaikhs and dignitaries also offered prayers alongside the Ruler.

Shaikh Abdullah Mohammed Al Sa’di, preacher at the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Awqaf in Fujairah, underscored that Islam has set values that govern life, adding that Eid Al Adha celebration is time for blessing and solidarity.

He prayed to God to safeguard the UAE and its leadership.

In Dubai, Crown Prince Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received at the Zabeel Palace well-wishers who called on him to offer greetings on the occasion of Eid Al Adha.

Joined by Dubai Deputy Ruler and UAE Minister of Finance Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, he received greetings from senior state officials, military and police officers.

The large gathering of the well-wishers included residents of various nationalities, all of whom prayed for the good health of the leaders of the UAE and prosperity for the people.

In Ras Al Khaimah, Shaikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, performed prayers with public at Grand Eid Mussala in Khazam. Omer bin Saqr Al Qasimi, head of the Private Department of the Ruler, Shaikh Faisal bin Saqr Al Qasimi, head of the Department of Finance and Chairman of the RAK Free Zone, other shaikhs, senior officials, nationals and Arab and Muslim communities performed prayers alongside the Crown Prince.

In his sermon, Shaikh Ahmed Mohammed Al Shehhi called for love, solidarity and worship of God.

In Al Ain, Shaikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Representative of Abu Dhabi Ruler in Eastern Region, offered prayers at Eid Mussala in Zakher district.

Lt-Gen. Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister, Shaikh Ahmed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Zayed Foundation for Charity and Humanitarian Works, Shaikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, Shaikh Omer bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Aide de Camp of UAE President, Shaikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Board Chairman of Etihad Airline and other shaikhs, offered their prayers along with Shaikh Tahnoun.

Shaikh Nasser Saeed Al Shibli, preacher at the Islamic Affairs and Awqaf office in Al Ain, stressed in his Eid sermon solidarity among Muslims, highlighting the course of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

After the prayers, Shaikh Tahnoun received at his palace in Al Ain Eid greetings from tribal dignitaries, UAE nationals, senior army and police officers, nationals and managers of some companies based in Al Ain.
