DUBAI - Her Majesty’s best-dressed secret service agent 007 is back in town. The 22nd edition of the Bond movies, Quantum of Solace is all set to take the residents of UAE by storm. Die-hard Bond fans are looking forward to see the high-profile Bond cars, the parade of beautiful Bond women and the eye candy for female viewers would be Bond star Daniel Craig himself.

The movie premieres today at theatres all over the UAE.

Jamal Al Mawed, a resident of Dubai, said, “The content of most of the Bond movies are always the same. It’s the stunts which are worth watching.”

Cameron Mitchell, General Manager of Cinestar Cinemas, said, “We are expecting Quantum of Solace to be the most successful Bond release to date, and definitely one of UAE’s highest grossers of the year.

“Quantum’s budget was 50 per cent higher than Casino Royale and given that the film has opened in the United Kingdom as the region’s most successful release on record, similar results are expected in the UAE and internationally. Cinema patrons are booking their online tickets in advance.”

Telecom service provider du is offering its customers mobile content from the Quantum of Solace. du has signed a partnership with Sony Pictures through an agreement with Hungama Mobile. To compliment this offering, du has also introduced a limited edition ‘Bond’ SIM pack.

“The film has evolved over the years, the stories are more flashy, the stunts have improved and Daniel Craig is doing a commendable job as the new Bond. Of course, the finer guys like Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan will be the best Bond actors, but I have great expectations from Quantum of Solace,” said Bond fan Jayakar Seth, a resident of Dubai.

For Zoheb Bashir, a resident of Sharjah, Bond movies are all about the 007 suits, the flashy cars, and the gorgeous Bond girls. “It’s not something that I have been waiting to watch, but I would probably check it out over the weekend. I have seen a few of the previous Bond movies, and hope Quantum of Solace would be a better than the previous ones.”
