British Airways named world's leading airline
DUBAI — British Airways — the UK's flagship carrier which operates 55 weekly flights from the GCC to London Heathrow — has been awarded 'World's Leading Airline, 2007' at the prestigious World Traveller Awards.
Over 160,000 travel professionals from 190 countries voted online for the awards, which annually recognise outstanding achievement within the global travel industry.
"We are overwhelmingly grateful to our staff in accepting this award, all of whom deserve our thanks for continuing to make British Airways the 'Worlds Leading Airline'," said Robert Boyle, BA's Commercial Director, at the ceremony in the Caribbean islands of Turks and Caicos.
"As a British airline, we are honoured to have achieved this global accolade, and will continue to offer the upgraded service that people expect from us."
