The web site - www.moieserv.ae - automatically saves data keyed in the online application form till the expiry of the 15-day period and activates the transaction immediately after payment. If the payment is not made within this period, the transaction will be cancelled automatically.

Major-General Mattar Salim Al Neyadi, Director of the IT Department, told Khaleej Times that many users of the online service are unable to pay the fees after they fill in all required data.

"The web site saves this data for the said period during which the applicant can pay the fees and complete the required procedures to get the visa from the nearest department of naturalisation and residency regardless of the place of the residency of the sponsor," he said.

The move aims at delivering excellent online services to the clients and visa applicants.

Major Khaled Nasser Al Taie, Head of IT Development Systems at the department, said that a blacklist of typing offices which make mistakes in online visa applications is being maintained.

"A typing office which blunders twice in online visa application forms will be included in the blacklist and denied the privilege of submitting applications for two days," he said.

The manager of the erring office will have to sign a pledge to recruit professional typists to avoid mistakes. "If the office repeats the same mistakes, it will be denied the service for good," he affirmed.

The MoI demands typing offices to include their names in the e-applications to preserve the right of the client to pay the fees.
