What this 13-year-old did for his sister will warm your hearts. A teenager from India gifted a scooter to his sister by giving away coins worth Dh3,500 (Rs 62,000).
Yash had saved the amount from his pocket money and presented the scooter to his sister on Diwali. "We saved this money from our pocket money which we usually get in coins. Even when we get the pocket money in the form of currency notes, we exchange it into coins to save it from spending," Yash was quoted by Mumbai Mirror.
While the staff at the showroom was initially reluctant to take coins, the boy persuaded them and walked out with a scooter. The showroom had to stay open for late hours as the staff counted the coins.
"We see a lot of customers who come with coins to pay a part of total amount of the vehicles. But, it was a special case where both of them paid entire amount with coins," NBT newspaper quoted dealer Santosh Kumar saying.
