The Graduate Trainees Programme is a tailored-made and it aims at employing trainees in various positions at DCA. It has been organised by the National Human Resources Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) and the DCA.
The 12-week programme began in May with 12 nationals. It covered theoretical and on-the-job training in structured modules aimed at equipping the trainees with broad knowledge of management and other skills.
The trainees are now moving into the second stage of the programme where they take their place as skilled employees working at the different departments of DCA.
Dr Abdul Rehman Al Awar, Director General of Tanmia, said that the authority approached the task of employing national job seekers registered with its database through a proactive policy of partnership with employers both in public and private sectors.
He added that the DCA programme is a successful example of such an approach and effort.
