The actions were taken during intensified inspections carried out by the health department to ensure healthy food for consumers during Ramadan. Saif bin Ghadeer Al Kuttabi, Director of Massfout municipality branch, said inspection is part of the periodical campaigns to control the food market and shops specially during Iftar and Sohoor to prevent people from getting food poisoning due to lack of hygiene.
The municipality is also gearing up to decorate parks and streets to mark the occasion of Eid Al Fitr and will conduct intensified inspections during Eid holidays as well.
