Mohammed Al Mansouri, head of engineering section at the department, said the initiative is in line with instructions given by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to renovate and rebuild the mosques.

Sixty per cent of reconstruction work has been completed in four mosques in Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah, he said.

Four other mosques in Ras Al khaimah and two mosques in Umm Al Quwain will also be rebuilt.
