Mumbai-based Lakeeren Gallery guided by founding director Dr Arshiya Lokhandwala an art historian and curator, embracing a theoretical and critical framework format for presenting curated exhibitions, educating through art and articulating the new avant-gardes.
Lakeeren, is returning to Art Dubai since 2011 with a poignant curated booth titled "One" that seeks to investigate the circle as a contemplative form within sufist philosophy understanding the relationship between the parts to a whole. One will include the work of Pakistan-based artist Waqas Khan; Nandita Kumar, New Zealand; India, Anita Dube, Parul Gupta; Sharmila Samant from Delhi and Ake Reeh from Germany.
One, unpacks the oneness underlying all geometry that permeates the architecture of all form in its myriad diversity. It examines the principle of interconnectedness, and the union to provide us with a continuous reminder of our relationship to the whole, a blueprint for the mind to the sacred foundation of all things created.
The tenth edition of Art Dubai takes place March 16-19.
