New York City - NYPD recognises late Sheikh Zayed's charitable and humanitarian works.

The New York Police Department has honoured UAE's founding father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, by decorating NYPD patrol vehicles with the 'Year of Zayed 2018' logos.
Abu Dhabi Police posted an Instagram video on Monday of NYPD patrol vehicles patrolling areas with the Year of Zayed logo on the windscreen.
The force did this in recognition of late Sheikh Zayed's charitable and humanitarian works.
"We displayed the two logos on our patrols to express our pride in Sheikh Zayed's accomplishments and to recognise his sponsorship of the annual Charity Marathon for the Healthy Kidney Research and treatment which carries his name," said NYPD Chief of Intelligence Thomas Galati.

Major Abdul Aziz Al Shareef, the Deputy Police Attache at the UAE embassy in Washington DC appreciated the gesture, stressing that the logo will be seen by millions of tourists visiting New York City during the New Year's Eve celebrations.
