Mom arrested for leaving children home alone watching Home Alone

A mother was arrested after she left her two young sons by themselves at home, while going out for work. The police found the kids watching the 1990 Hollywood classic Home Alone when they were alerted and arrived at the scene. The incident took place in the town of Muncie, Indiana, according to reports.
Home Alone shows the risks of leaving a kid unattended in a house. It is about an eight-year-old who braves odds after he is accidentally left behind in the house as his parents go on a trip to Paris to celebrate Christmas.
However, the Indiana boys were only four and seven years old.
The mother - Taylor Joann Cumings, 25 - allegedly headed to work, keeping her older son home to look after his younger brother, who was sick, according to the Muncie Star Press. On being interrogated, she said she failed to find a babysitter and asked her elder son to skip school. She added that she had done this before, but rarely.
WRTV reported that police received an anonymous phone call that two kids had been left alone in the home in the 1800-block of South Franklin Street.
The woman was arrested and charged with two counts of neglect of a dependent. The boys were placed in the care of an aunt.
