Dh37 Valentine's Day gift turns to Dh367,000 lottery win

An Iowa woman was certainly not thrilled when she received a mere $10 scratch-off ticket as a Valentine's Day gift from her husband.
Cynthia Holmes from Iowa, US, was gifted a Casino Riches scratch-off ticket by her husband Don, and to her surprise the ticket won them a $100,000 jackpot.
"My husband gave me a gift of a scratch-off and I'm like, 'Oh, that's really expensive,' Cynthia joked to Iowa lottery officials.
The husband said he did share her disbelief and knew his wife was a winner when he saw the dice. "I thought it would just be $100 but it turned out to be $100,000," Don was quoted as saying in a report carried by NDTV.
Fifty-four-year-old Cynthia, who works at Walmart, said she never expected to win the lottery and couldn't believe until she went to the lottery headquarters to collect her prize.
She said, "The machine went, 'Woo hoo!' And my hands started shaking and like butterflies in my stomach."
The woman won the second highest prize in the lottery and plans to pay off her car and home loans.
