The accident occurred as a result of the rear bus not leaving a sufficient safety distance
Ajman Police have reported on Tuesday a minor accident that involved two school buses, saying that it did not result in any injuries among the students.
The accident, which took place in Al Mowaihat area, happened because the rear bus was not leaving a sufficient safety distance away from the one in front of it. The two vehicles collided at low speed, the police authority said.
It added that necessary measures were taken against the driver who caused the incident.
On Monday, the UAE National Ambulance said that 13 students and a teacher were injured after two school buses were involved in a collision. The incident occurred along the national highway E311 around 3pm.

In its initial tweet, the authority stated that the accident took place on Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Road in Sharjah. However, it has since retracted the tweet. Khaleej Times reached out to Sharjah Police, who also confirmed that the incident did not happen in Sharjah. Further details are awaited.
