SHARJAH — In a rare gesture, a Pakistani national, M.A., whose five-year-old daughter was raped and murdered five years ago in Sharjah, has pardoned the two accused, just in the nick of time on November 2, saving them from the jaws of death.

‘Love’ led him to murder-suicide

SHARJAH — The bodies of Kumar Acharya Vasudevan, his wife Lynette and daughter Sheryl will be flown to India today for funeral in Mumbai, sources said. The 33-year-old Kumar Acharya, an Indian had leaped to his death from his 10th floor apartment in Sharjah after strangling his wife (32) and smothering their two-year-old daughter with a pillow last week. The bodies will be accompanied by Kumar’s brother who is a resident of Dubai.
