42m passengers used Sharjah public transport in 2015

RTA Sharjah saw a quantum leap in the number of passengers transported in 2015.

Abdulaziz Al Jarwan, Director General of RTA Sharjah for transport Affairs, on Thursday said up to 42,700,000 passengers availed their shuttle service in 2015.

"As many as 117,000 passengers used RTA Sharjah public city and intercity buses, and taxis every day."

These are 21 per cent rise as compared to 2014, he added. "The remarkable jump us due to the improvement introduced to our shuttle service."
