Swiss watch manufacturer Carl F. Bucherer is launching a brand new campaign with Indian supermodel and actress Lisa Haydon. Shot by celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar in a variety of settings, the campaign seeks to celebrate the mood of each classy timepiece and present Haydon in the same light of free spiritedness, creativity and savoir-faire.

Starting young
If you'd like your kids to develop an appreciation for the world of science, get them over to the Sharjah Discovery Centre for the last day of the Kids Got Talent Festival today. Featuring a wide range of entertaining workshops and exhibitions - with highlights such as laser cutting, 3D printing, and dramatic live experiments - the festival is designed to boost scientific knowledge and creativity among kids. The workshops also include demonstrations by Dubai Police on how sensors can be used to detect the presence of water, while members of Ajman Police will reveal the world of 4D hologram technology.
Manal Ataya, Director General of Sharjah Museums Department, which is holding the event in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Emirates Science Club, said, "Our main aim is to make science fun - to show children how science is all around us and affects our lives on a daily basis."

White Nights in Dubai, a nine-day festival at Dubai Opera and the first musical festival of its kind in the Middle East - has confirmed that top opera star Jonas Kaufmann aka the 'New King of Tenors' will perform on April 6, 2017, as part of a carefully curated line-up of the biggest stars from the world of music. Already part of the impressive roster are mezzo soprano superstar Katherine Jenkins OBE and Britain's leading tenor Alfie Boe, who are slated to headline the big-ticket event on Thursday, March 30, 2017.
Since his sensational debut at the Metropolitan Opera in New York in 2006, Kaufmann has numbered among the top stars in the operatic world, with insiders praising him as the most important German tenor since the renowned Fritz Wunderlich.

The annual Al Ain Book Fair (AABF) is back for its eighth edition and is all about celebrating Emirati writers by hosting a group of writers from the UAE who will address the impact of the cultural and social environment on their intellectual upbringing. The fair takes place at the Al Ain Convention Centre and ends October 2. Visitors can enjoy meet-and-greet opportunities with important Emirati authors, who will also be giving away signed copies of their books. A variety of cultural programmes have been organised, with talks on various subjects including what young Emiratis read, and how educational technology can be used to resolve behavioural problems.
