'Be who you were  born to be'
What is the number one item on your to-do list right now?
Long walks on the beach are totally my thing. I love the feel of the wind on my face and the strong salty sea smell in the air. I'm pretty sure you'll find me trotting down some beach or the other soon enough - especially considering how beautiful the weather is at the moment. I plan to make the most of it.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be and why?
Omnilingualism! The ability to understand any language as it automatically gets translated to your native language. I love travelling and exploring new places, sitting in cafés and listening to snippets of other people's conversations; it's strangely intriguing to be invisible and yet connected with a person you don't know and might never see again. You might call me an eavesdropper but I'm more like a wallflower.
What good deed are you hoping to do today?
I'm a dog person and I make it a point to help at least one dog a day, in any small way I can.
Your favourite hangout in the UAE?
Any café with my friends.
The first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning?
I should have slept earlier last night! I go back and forth with myself on the topic every single morning.
The app on your smartphone that you click on most often.
It's Whatsapp, Instagram and Facebook for me.
Your favourite movie character of all time and why?
The only fictional character that comes to mind right now is Barney Stinson from How I Met Your Mother. He is funny, confident and actually legen.wait for it... dary.
What is your favourite cuisine and your favourite restaurant in Dubai?
I don't particularly have a favourite cuisine, but if I had to choose one, I would say Lebanese. I am a vegetarian and I love classics like hummus, falafel and tabbouleh. Having been born and brought up in the Middle East, it's hard not to be in love with these!
What is one major life lesson you've learnt and what advice would you give others?
Everyone with a mouth will have an opinion and it doesn't depend upon what you do but what they choose to see in you. So be who you are born to be unapologetically and truly. Life is way too short to think about what others opine or say about you.
