21 October 2011 Stylists from Hair@Pyramids, Wafi, give you the lowdown on how to keep the top of your head in ship shape

What are the three most popular hair treatments in vogue?
An allover hair tint, hydrating conditioning treatments and sun-kissed highlights.
Most people complain of hairfall in this part of the world (because of the water and the heat). What are some ways in which this can be countered?
There are benefits to water filters on showerheads which ensure a purer water in contact with your skin and hair, but there are also many reasons behind hair loss, which can range from pregnancy and hormonal imbalances to the heat in the Middle East.
We always recommend that if the problem is ongoing, you should consult your doctor for medical advice as he can diagnose the problem specifically.
What is a quick-fix hair routine you can do if you have to go to a party, and you only have a couple of hours to get your act together?
For long hair: For a high straight pony tail:
1. Brush your hair smooth.
2. Comb back and hold all hair together with one hand at the back of your head just below the crown.
3. Tie it up with a hair band
to create a smooth look, and to maintain the style throughout the day, apply hair spray generously all over.
4. For any shorter hair that falls down, fix it up with hair grips.
For medium-length hair: Half up half down, back comb the crown area to create volume and clip at the back.
For short hair: Use styling products through the hair to enhance the short style.
As an extension to the earlier question, what are the easiest ways to give your hair a makeover?
Depending on the look you want, either a re-style cut and blow-dry or a new colour is good. At Hair@Pyramids, we would suggest a Hydrate by Wella SP treatment, followed by a
full head highlights or a hair colour such as Koleston Perfect for a real change.
Give us a hair-care regimen that is bound to keep your hair looking good.Do a monthly conditioning treatment as well as a 6-week trim. Regularly use a good shampoo/conditioner for your hair needs. Avoid direct heat from either appliances or sunlight.
