After a hectic week and the tough and tiring work routine, most people look forward to the weekend to enter their homes and hit the sack.

But for me, it is different. I go home, throw my sweaty clothes in the washing machine, take a relaxing bath, slip into my casual clothes and go out for some fun. One memorable weekend, I played cricket with my friends until sunset and then, we went for a swim. After an hour of splashing around, we went to Pizza Hut as we love the bustling atmosphere there. Then we headed to the cinema and watched the movie District 9. After the film, we decided to call it a night and headed home to bed. I woke up early on Friday and went for a walk around Al-Ittihad Square. I saw some boys playing football there so I joined them. After the kick around, I took my family to Creek Park where we had a scrumptious BBQ. We then headed to Wild Wadi where I rode the wavy slides and had a cold swim to get rid of all my worries. After the water park, I went to a DVD store and picked up some of my favourite classic films. I spent Saturday lazing around watching movies such as Wanted, Dil Bole Hadippa and New York. I then prepared myself for the coming week of work. I’m eagerly awaiting my next weekend and looking forward to reading wknd.
