6 November 2009 Bol Na Halke Halke — Jhoom
Barabar Jhoom
Trio Shankar-Ehsan-Loy breathe the music, with Gulzar bestowing lyrics along with maestro Rahat Fateh Ali Khan pairing up with Mahalakshmi Iyer to lend the voice.
Falak tak chal — Tashan
Definitely worth adding to your iPod. This romantic track leaves me awestruck. Other songs featured in the movie were disappointing, though this one, by Ms Iyer and Udit Narayan, saved the day.
Meetha Marz — Welcome to Sajjanpur
Just two words for this one — simply beautiful. Singer Mohit Chauhan deserves applause for this charming song that inculcated me in his die-hard fan list. A melodious track.
Rehna tu —
Delhi-6
No list of indie faves is considered complete without AR Rahman. Fabulous music with scintillating lyrics, Rahman adds his magic quotient to this one. With meaningful words, it is lovely if listened to closely and carefully.
Aahun Aahun — Love Aaj Kal
A desi club anthem of late; this number is a dance floor filler. Dancers love gearing up to its tunes, DJs love playing it to a full house, and drivers love this fast-moving beat in slow-moving traffic. Terrific Punjabi number from the recent flick — Love Aaj Kal.
