Aries
Solar power touches your co-ruler, the secretive Pluto, this week to provide energy for transformation and regeneration. This event opens up possibilities and presents the ram with various options. It does not matter what you choose — it’s making the decision and sticking with it that is important. You can make a go of most things, enjoy any sort of challenge and are likely to face opposition and competition in whatever you do. It would be a shame to lose heart or slacken in effort just as the planets are actually conspiring to reward your persistence and tenacity.
Taurus
On Sunday, solar winds mix to lend the bull extra dash and fire. You will be in an assertive mode, determined to have your own way and prepared to battle with all and sundry to achieve your aims. As long as you do not attempt to side-step issues and endeavour to make your mission statement clear, no one will try to stand in your way. They would not dare. A well-armoured bull, with horns out and ready to charge, is a frightening sight and virtually unstoppable. But, just
because you are on the up, you don’t have to get uppity. Give a thought for those who have smoothed your path.

With fickle Mercury making unusual liaisons this week, you could find yourself in a dither, unable to make a practical decision on an important issue. You see that either all options are equally promising, or else are full of flaws. Remind yourself that the messages you have received have been mixed and the information you have is incomplete. Do not let yourself be guided by your emotions at this stage — your head needs to rule your heart. You know the formula that works best for you is a proper, objective analysis of all the angles. In any case, there is no rush.
Cancer
Lunar conjunctions this week are bound to affect the usually conservative crab. Your normal poise and sense of decorum is likely to be rattled, as you find yourself gripped by unusual and powerful urges. It might be a case of love at first sight, and a pressing need to possess an object or person no matter what the cost. You’ll certainly raise some eyebrows and perhaps you need to take counsel before you commit yourself. You know that you need balance in your affairs, so make sure that your nerves and your finances are up to bearing the strain of indulging in any flights of fancy.

 This week, the Sun makes merry in the cosmos to your benefit. This could enable the lion to see the light and make rapid progress on any operation at ground level. Activity involving spadework and the digging of foundations is well starred, and projects, structures or buildings started at this time are set to be on a grand scale and permanent. Do not rush the pouring of the concrete though, for you have to get the aggregate just right and cutting corners or costs will be expensive in the long run. This promises to be a topsy-turvy week as Mercury bustles about making various odd connections. The cosmic activity marks the start of a brief silly season and you might find it a job to keep a sense of perspective and a sense of humour. Mistakes and minor accidents will be rife and the excuses presented to you to explain a lack of attendance or attention would do an errant schoolboy proud. No matter how frivolous the claims being made sound — don’t dismiss them out of hand. There is a good chance that you might be able to turn an idea into a promising reality.

Solar activity brings a warning of deception, but the Libran will be in top form this week. Of all the signs in the Zodiac, you are the most balanced and open-minded and also the most in touch with the undercurrents that could rock the boat. The gift to interpret trends should enable you to take appropriate advance action to steal a march on the competition and meet demands before they are made. Your promptness could arouse the interest and support of those in positions of power and influence and lead to a successful promotion. Do not shrink from the publicity.
Scorpio
As your ruler Mars squares up midweek, the scorpion faces an unexpected and dramatic last stand with regard to a current relationship. An impasse will result if an irresistible force meets an immovable object, and you need to consider the wisdom of weighing in with an ultimatum which the other side will surely reject. Capricorn
This week calls for delicate diplomacy or you might find yourself in difficulties, caught between a rock and a hard place. Try not to allow the passionate or over-sentimental side of your nature dictate your responses to the offer of an olive branch. Aquarius
With no major cosmic activity affecting your ruler Uranus, you are a free agent. However, your independence is emotionally challenged by the vagaries of the Moon and you may feel an inexplicable lethargy of spirit. The door is open and the way clear but you cannot make up your mind on whether to go to town or stay at home. You will have to give yourself a good shake. Recent events

Pisces
A lunar conjunction could signal the beginning of a period of material growth for Pisces. Be aware, before you go fishing that Empire building has to be carefully and methodically undertaken and requires strong sea legs. There may be competition for the best stretch of water, but if you go about your business early, you should be able to cast your net and make a good catch. You will need to rely on your experience and instincts to avoid tangling with the sharks. They have a good scent for success. It makes sense to sweet talk yourself into your partner’s good books.
