Kraigg Brathwaite (142 not out) carried his bat to help West Indies gain crucial 56 runs lead against Pakistan in the first innings after lunch during the third day of the final Test at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
West Indies were bowled out for 337 after lunch.
It was a Herculean effort from Wahab Riaz who grabbed five wickets in Sharjah conditions. He kissed the ground and thanked God for his feat.
Earlier, Brathwaite wasted little time to reach his 100 as he dispatched the very first ball of the day from Mohammad Amir to the boundary.
Amir produced a beauty to clean up Jason Holder (16) to leave West Indies at 263 for 7.
Bishoo joined Brathwaite in the middle and survived some hostile bowling from Wahab.
His dogged style frustrated the Pakistani bowlers and put on 60 runs in partnership with Brathwaite.
West Indies lost only one wicket in the session and collected 70 runs.
Bishoo departed after scoring 27 runs which helped Pakistan to fold the innings as last two wickets were snared by Wahab.
