Hewlett-Packard, known as HP, on Monday unveiled its new range of products in the Middle East during a news conference in Dubai. Products included new consumer and commercial PCs, printers, scanners and gaming products.

HP's new range of products will be revealed at this year's Gitex Shopper and Gitex Technology World exhibitions, taking place next month. These exhibitions offer an opportunity for consumers and businesses to have a first look at the products, test them and better understand the technology on offer, according to top executives of the US company.

Among the new products, the world's smallest all-in-one printer looks interesting. HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 3700 all-in-one printer combines a small form factor with usual needs such as print, scan and copy. It has mobile printing capabilities as the printer can connect with any mobile device over WiFi and supports WiFi Direct for easy connection. The printer can print 480 pages on a single cartridge.

Another product is the HP Elite Slice. HP's smallest desktop is built for communication and collaboration. It is the first modular commercial desktop with cable-less connectivity and enables customers to build a desktop of their choice.

"Our vision at HP is to create technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere. It is this vision that has ensured we remain a global leader in printing and personal systems," said Mathew Thomas, managing director, Middle East and Saudi Arabia, HP.

"We have a rich history of innovation, and for more than 75 years, we have brought disruptive technologies to market that have fundamentally changed our industry and the world around us. This continuous innovation and engineering excellence are part of our DNA and we will continue to design products that propel our customers and partners into the future," Thomas explained.

Stephane Rogier, head of print business unit, HP Middle East, said: "With an entity solely dedicated to our printing division, we have been able to implement a greater focus on our printing products, with emphasis on agility and speed to quickly adapt to market and customer dynamic. We are excited to contribute to this era of revolutions with our latest technologies and offer a portfolio that reinvigorates home and business printing at unmatched cost of ownership."
