The Egyptian Sporting Club defeated Jordan's Orthodox Club 48-47in a closely contested basketball match in the third Arab Women Sports Tournament (AWST). It was well fought match between the two sides, who are among the potential teams to win the title.
Meanwhile, the Sharjah Ladies Club beat Bahrain's Al Najma Club 78-53 despite the strong start of Al Najma team. The Sharjah Ladies Club won 31-29 against Al Najma Club in the first half of the match. The Algerian Olympic Club clinched an overwhelming win after beating the Emirati Bani Yas Club 106-52.
The volleyball competitions saw Bahrain's Al Muharraq Club win 3-0 against Palestinian Ebda'a Club, while the Sharjah Ladies Club beat the Jordanian Olympic team 3-0.
In the single table tennis competitions, Lebanese player Mariana Sahagian and Qatari player Maha Abdul Redha qualified for the final.
