Ten Cricket’s new initiatives

DUBAI — Ten Cricket on Wednesday announced the telecasting details of the upcoming cricket series between India and Sri Lanka at a Press conference at the Ten Sports Headquarters in Dubai Media City.

The TV channel also announced the appointment of IAS Media as the sole advertising concessionaires for the MENA region. “The India vs Sri Lanka series which will commence from July 21 to August 7 and will see the two cricketing giants battling for pride in five ODIs and one Twenty20. And the next, most eagerly awaited Pakistan vs Australia series which will be played in the UAE between August 28 and September 10 has already garnered a lot of attention across the world,” said Sanjay Raina, chief operating officer of Taj TV Limited.

While talking about the alliance between Ten Cricket and IAS Media, Ali Asgar Mir, managing director of IAS Media, said: “The forthcoming cricket series will also see a new technological breakthrough with virtual advertising. This unobtrusive virtual advertising which is the first-ever in the Middle East will not affect viewership of the game in any way but will still manage to garner high visibility for the brands”.
