The 21 qualifiers from Emirates Golf Federation (EGF)-affiliated golf clubs in the UAE will test their mettle on the Fire course at Jumeirah Golf Estates on Sunday, October 25. There are some unbelievable prizes on offer for the competing participants to boot, including the chance to play with one of the top 60 players on the European Tour in the Rolex Pro-Am two days before the DP World Tour Championship gets underway.
Whoever ultimately ends up victorious in the Luckiest Ball Grand Final will not only receive an invitation to the Pro-Am, where they'll have the chance to play alongside the likes of Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson, but also an invite to the Championship Beach Party at Nasimi Beach, Atlantis, The Palm on November 17.
However, the rewards don't exactly end there for coming out on top of a competition that has featured over 800 participants from all over the country as the eventual victor will win two VIP Hospitality passes to the Championship Chalet for the season-ending finale between November 19 and 22.
There are also prizes for coming second and third, including a playing spot in the European Tour Golf Day on November 23, but all of the competitors will undoubtedly have their eyes locked firmly on prevailing outright in the Grand Final given what's at stake.
The Luckiest Ball on Earth series has proved a roaring success since it was launched in 2011, when Kevin Barrett of Arabian Ranches Golf Club won his spot in the Pro-Am.
Since then, Ornella Parigi (Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, in 2012), Maureen Platt (Emirates Golf Club, in 2013) and Dipesh Makwana (Jebel Ali Golf Resort & Spa) have enjoyed the once-in-a-lifetime experience of lining up next to some of the game's biggest names.
The format for the Luckiest Ball on Earth Grand Final will be an 18-hole individual Stableford playing off the Signature Tees, meaning the Fire course will play to around 6,800 yards.
As well as the main prize, there will be subsidiary prizes for Ladies' Longest Drive, Men's Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin.
