In a repeat of last year's final, holders GEMS Modern Academy, Dubai defeated Our Own English School, Sharjah to retain the Boys U-14 MGS Vision Cup at the Skyline University ground on Monday.
The Pan UAE Annual Inter-School Cricket tournament was organised by Maxtalent Global Sports.
GEMS Modern Academy, electing to field, on winning the toss, restricted OOEHS to 129 for 5 wickets in the 20 allotted overs.
Opener Shoun Roger top scored with 79 runs while Ayan Khan was the next best scorer with 27 runs. GEMS' Ronak Panoly claimed three wickets for 24 runs.
In reply, GEMS lost both openers rather quickly, Rudra Mahadev was the first to go followed by prolific scorer Ronak Panoly (8). However, captain Varun Ravi (54) and Varun Nayanar (60) added a match-winning partnership of 114 runs.
Mazhar Khan, ECB Administrator and head of SCC presided over the presentation ceremony.
