Gargash Enterprises will provide 24 brand-new Mercedes-Benz cars to Al Ahli Football Club as part of a new sponsorship deal, it was announced on Thursday.
Twelve cars will be raffled for each game over 12 home games at the AL Ahli stadium during the 2015-2016 Arabian Gulf League.
The three-year agreement between Al Ahli and Gargash Enterprises sees Mercedes-Benz as Al Ahli Football Club's official car.
Shehab Gargash, board member, Gargash Enterprises, said: "Gargash Enterprises is honoured to work with Al Ahli to bring the very best automobile to the UAE football fans. We are honoured to work on this initiative as part of a multi-year collaboration with Al Ahli, a collaboration that grows stronger with every season."
Mercedes-Benz has supported the game of football on several occasions worldwide including, sponsoring the 2014 World Cup. This partnership with Al Ahli underlines Gargash Enterprises' enduring support to the local community, where football holds a predominant position and has an immense following amongst all sporting activities. Al Ahli Football Club has already started the season on a strong note.
The next game on September 20, to be played at Al Ahli, the Red Knights meet Al Dhafra. After the match, the car raffle draws this season begins and - a C-200 and a ML-400, will be on offer. Ahmed Khalifa Hammad, CEO, Al Ahli Club, said: "To be associated with a brand like Mercedes-Benz is an honour and it uplifts the status of Al Ahli Club. This new and unique gesture of raffles by Al Ahli Club, to give UAE football enthusiasts an essence of the luxurious Mercedes-Benz brand is anticipated to strengthen the bond between both parties."
Also present at the announcement were Al Ahli star players Rodrigo Lima and Moussa Sow, and Mohammed bin Faraj, deputy CEO, Al Ahli FC.
