Al Ain, Al Nasr kick off Gulf Super Cup

The Arabian Gulf Super Cup fixture between Al Ain and Dubai's Al Nasr is set to take place at the Bani Yas Stadium.
Arabian Gulf League champions Al Ain take on President's Cup winners Al Nasr on August 15 (Saturday), to begin the new season. The match is scheduled for a 7.40 p.m kick-off.
The Pro League Committee (PLC) held a technical meeting regarding the fixture at their headquarters in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The PLC also confirmed that Al Ain will be the home team. The meeting was chaired by Suhail Al Areefi, CEO of the Pro League Committee and was attended by team officials from both Al Ain and Al Nasr, as well as representatives of Abu Dhabi Police. The meeting discussed various technical and organisational points relating to the fixture.
Al Ain will wear their full purple kit for the game, while Al Nasr will turn out in white shirt, black shorts and white socks.
Al Nasr will train on match eve from 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, while, Al Ain have scheduled their training from 8.45 pm to 9.45 pm. The PLC confirmed that both the sessions will be open to the media for the first 15 minutes after which it will behind closed doors.
Al Ain won the League for a record 12th time, while Al Nasr ended a 26-year wait to clinch the President's Cup.
