The Emirates Cricket Board's ambitious talent hunt programme has already yielded results with over 300 Emiratis training in Al Ain.
"We have partnered with Al Ain Waters for the training programme in Al Ain for the UAE nationals," revealed Zayed Abbas, head of marketing and media at the ECB.
He added that the Abu Dhabi Sports Council had extended very good support to the training programme.
"We have dedicated Arabic-speaking coach training these national players in their schools in Al Ain," he added.
"We have plans to move to other emirates as well but we need support from the education institutes for our drive to get more and more UAE national to play cricket," he said.
The ECB talent hunt programme is open to all - nationals as well as expats eligible to represent the UAE.
