Godolphin have collected the ultimate owners' accolade by winning the championship for the 2015 British Flat season. It is the 10th time that the stable has won the accolade.
Owned by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the stable accumulated most prize money in the racing year just ended, achieving a level of consistency across a range of classes and categories and a variety of tracks.
The famous royal blue colours were regularly seen in the winner's enclosure during the early months on all-weather tracks, but the impressive strike rate continued on Turf for the remainder of the year.
Godolphin won 160 races in Britain in 2015 for prize money totalling £3,909,023, an impressive feat by any standards.
John Ferguson, Bloodstock Adviser to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, spoke of an incredible team effort being responsible for the success.
"Winning the owners' championship means a huge amount for Godolphin," Ferguson said.
"A huge amount of time and effort have gone into making this operation a success.
"It is no more than Shaikh Mohammed deserves. He is a man who has put an incredible amount into horse racing, so to have got a team of horses together and be champion owner is massively important.
"We have runners all around the world, not only in the UK, but in Dubai, Europe, Australia and the United States. We are a worldwide operation. It is a great team, both human and equine, and I am very proud to be a part of it," Ferguson said.
