Another busy season at GRPC

Abu Dhabi - The season calendar, approved by Shaikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, will see many domestic and international events, including the prestigious His Highness President of UAE Polo Cup.

It is set to be another busy season of polo and showjumping after the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club (GRPC) unveiled their calendar for 2015-16.
The season calendar, approved by Shaikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, chairman of the Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, will see many domestic and international events, including the prestigious His Highness President of UAE Polo Cup.
The new season begins on October 16 and will come to an end on April 9, 2016.
The season gets rolling with a couple of humanitarian events like the Emirates Autism Charity Polo Match and the Emirates Red Crescent Charity Polo Match.
The Emirates Autism Charity Polo Match is on October 16 and will be followed by the Emirates Red Crescent Charity Polo Match on October 30.
The popular ADCB Pink Polo tournament will be held on November 6. Shaikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, had led the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank team to victory over the Maserati team 6-4, in the previous edition.
The Al Amal Polo Day, held under the patronage of Shaikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and which dedicates its proceedings to the Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation, is scheduled to take place on November 20.
December will see the annual UAE National Day Polo Exhibition game to celebrate the 44th UAE National Day. The 15th edition of the Emirates International Open Polo Championship will begin with the first tournament taking place on December 6. The Championship runs till December 18.
The 16th edition of the prestigious His Highness President of UAE Polo Cup takes place from January 5 to January 16, 2016. The Desert Palm team will be aiming for a hat-trick of championship titles.
