After working off a much-needed victory, both Peshawar Zalmi and the Lahore Qalandars will be hoping to put the gremlins well and truly behind when the two sides come up against each other in the sixth fixture of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Following two double-headers over Friday and Saturday, there will be only match being played out at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium tonight.
Unlike the other four teams in the PSL, the Peshawar Zalmis and the Lahore Qalandars haven't had to deal with the off-field distractions.
It was not quite the ideal start for both these teams with Peshawar Zalmi, going down to the defending champions Islamabad United by seven wickets in the second season's opener on Thursday night.
But then, they managed to turn things around on Friday night by getting the better of Karachi Kings in what was a low-scoring affair. The Darren Sammy-led side won by seven wickets and with nine balls remaining.
Despite that loss to Islamabad United, they didn't succumb easily though. Kamran Akmal and Dawid Malan were their standouts when it came to their batting, scoring 88 and 43 respectively, to help them pile up 190.
Their bowling attack of Junaid Khan, Hasan Ali, Chris Jordan, Shahid Afridi and Sammy came up short though.
But a tweaked bowling line-up of Mohammad Hafeez, Hasan Ali Chris Jordan, Shahid Afridi, Wahab Riaz and Mohammad Asghar did click in the second game, with them restricting the Karachi Kings to 118 for 7.
And their batsmen reciprocated with England limited-overs captain Eoin Morgan leading them home with an unbeaten 80.
If all the pieces fall in place on Sunday night, Peshawar Zalmi could ace this one too against the Lahore Qalandars.
Meanwhile, Brendon McCullum's men are on a high after getting the better of Islamabad United, after they had lost their first match to Quetta Gladiators in a thriller.
