Heat to give tough times to Haj pilgrims for 10 years

Muslims planning their Haj pilgrimage in the next 10 years may have to face tough times. Hot weather conditions are likely to prevail in Saudi Arabia during the Haj season that can make the pilgrimage more challenging for the devotees.
According to the media reports, the Haj season shall fall in the hot summer months between June-September for the next 10 years. This can put the pilgrims at risk of sun stroke, dehydration, fatigue, headaches, loss of consciousness, fast heart beats, sweating and other heat related issues.
This was observed through a study conducted by the Institute of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Haj and Umrah Research. Indeed, there have been rise in the cases of sunstroke during the last year's Haj, the study noted.

The study advised the pilgrims to avoid the direct rays of the sun, use umbrellas, take lot of water and soft drinks, cover their heads, wear light clothes and put the air conditioner on while taking a bath.
