Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) has opened the iconic Dar Al Muharraq.
The Dar Al Muharraq will act as a training and research centre for traditional folk music and will enhance the cultural heritage of Muharraq.
Situated along the Pearling, the extension is a three-storey building enveloped with a steel mesh, which is designed by Office Kersten Geers David Van Severen in collaboration with Emaar.
Baca President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa took pride in the opening of Dar Al Muharraq, hailing the crucial importance of the milestone which bears witness to deep-rooted heritage of the city.
She extended thanks to Alba and its officials for their drive to continuously invest in culture and contribute to the project which is a big boost to Bahrain's cultural heritage.
