His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, the Amir of Kuwait, with the attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, received Dr. Amal Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC) and her accompanying delegation on the occasion of her official visit to Kuwait, at the Bayan Palace this morning.
Dr. Amal Al Qubaisi delivered the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, his brother Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to the Amir.
She also sent their wishes to the nation and people of Kuwait for their continuing progress and advancement in all areas of development.
She congratulated the Amir of Kuwait on the11th anniversary of receiving his constitutional authorities, and wished him good health for the future.
She also praised his efforts to strengthen the close relations between both countries, and in finding the means of strengthening and developing their ties in all areas.
She further praised the Amir's numerous humanitarian initiatives to aid vulnerable countries and peoples. His considerable international reputation was rewarded with his receiving the "Leader for Humanitarian Work" award from the United Nations, with Kuwait as a centre for humanitarian work. This unique and unprecedented honour from the international organisation has not been previously received by any other country.
She praised Kuwait's vision for 2035, which will represent a significant change for Kuwait and assure that it takes important and confident steps towards its future.
