12 cannons to fire at Iftar time

The Sharjah Police have placed 12 cannons at different locations in the city to be fired to announce Iftar time during the holy month of Ramadan.

The locations are: eastern and western areas, near Sharjah Cultural Palace, Al Juraina, near Al Sari mosque, Al Nour Mosque at Sharjah Waterfront, Al Talla, Al Mirgab, Musallah Al Badee, government buildings in Al Khan area and Al Rahmah Mosque in Al Hamriya.

The Sharjah Police in coordination with Sharjah Media Corporation will broadcast the firing of the cannon live on TV and Radio from Sharjah Waterfront. The police will distribute water, juice and food for those present at the firing.
