The Dubai Police have called on motorists to abide by traffic rules during the remaining days of Ramadan and avoid random parking of their vehicles in front of mosques.

Brigadier Saif Mohair Al Mazroui, Director of the General Directorate of Traffic in Dubai Police, said that the Dubai traffic department is committed to provide convenience to road users in this holy month by regulating traffic and ensuring decongestion. The department will facilitate movement of worshippers at the entry and exit points of the mosques.

Brigadier Saif Al Mazroui exhorted people to desist from haphazard parking in front of mosques during Taraweeh prayers. He added that roads in front of mosques should be kept clear of traffic and vehicles.

He pointed out that the Dubai traffic department has intensified traffic patrols during prayer time in mosques, and enforcement officers are cracking down on motorists who commit offenses that undermine road safety.

He asked all drivers to avoid committing violations of indiscriminate parking of vehicles in front of mosques, and help others enjoy their rituals during the holy month.

The director of the General Directorate of Traffic appealed to drivers and the people to cooperate with the police in ensuring traffic safety. He encouraged people to report any traffic violation on 901.
