3,500 UAE families get Dh1.75m for Ramadan

Ajman Human Appeal international (HAI) in cooperation with Ajman markets Association has provided food assistance worth Dh1,750,000 to 3,500 needy families in Ajman and Rak Al Khaima, as part of Ramadan charity program.
The families were given purchase prepaid cards with specified value based on the size of the family to be able to make Ramadan shopping from Ajman markets.
The initiative is aimed at supporting needy and poor families from various nationalities in the emirate. Speaking to Khaleejtimes, Sheikh Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Chairman of board council of HAI said that the purchasing cards were distributed to the needy families registered in the record of HAI.
"As part of the Ramadan charity program, we seek to implement more projects during the holy month to ensure the needs the families are sponsored by HAI," he said.
Al Nuaimi explained that this program cost Dh1,750,000 to provide for 3,500 families and orphans, including 2,500 in Ajman and 1000 families registered in Ras Al Khaimah.
He stressed HAI is keen through all its Ramadan programs and projects this year to be in touch with all the needy groups to help them share the joy of Ramadan by facilitating and providing all their necessary needs during the holy month.
The families hailed HAI's keenness to secure their needs during the holy month and described it as a humanitarian step that will contribute greatly to alleviating their suffering in order to achieve the values of solidarity and compassion inherent among people of the UAE.
