The Holy Month of Ramadan has begun and the atmosphere already seems prayerful and calm. The first day of Ramadan in the UAE was on Monday, June 6, according to an announcement by the Moon-sighting Committee.
Ramadan is the 9th month in the lunar year and it is during this month that healthy Muslim adults observe fasting during the daylight hours. Muslim fasting is a total abstention from eating, drinking, and sexual relations from dawn to dusk for 29 or 30 days of the month of Ramadan.
Famous personalities from all over the world are taking the time to reach out and wish those observing the month of fasting.
