A very large number
of families in our society are reluctant to send their daughters to
co-education institutions and talented female students are denied of
their desired professional education.
Women Institute of Learning (WIL) in affiliation with Peshawar
University is enrolling its third batch in the academic year 2007-08
in the excusive disciplines for women in Pakistan for Doctorate in
Pharmacy, M.Sc Psychology, BCS Computer Sciences & B.Sc Medical
Technology. The institute is also offering admissions in first
batch of Bachelor of Law this year .
Hostel facility is provided to the students on cost sharing basis.
The hostel has all the comforts and facilities under the
supervision of committed staff within the campus. A
fleet of buses and other transport facilities are available
for pick and drop and other co-curricular activities
for the students. Different societies are established
in the institution to provide a space for co-curricular
activities. These societies arrange debates, sports competition,
cultural and talent shows and other functions within the premises of the institute.
PEPS is a registered society under the Societies
Registration Act 1860. It was established in 1999 to
carry out social and welfare work to uplift the socioeconomic
conditions of Abbottabad and Hazara at large Managing Director Women Medical College Dr.
Muhammad Azhar Khan Jadoon is the President of
the society.
The first project of PEPS in education sector was the establishment
of Women Medical College (WMC) in the year 2000 and is
now starting admissions for its 8th batch in MBBS for year 2007-
08. WMC produced 100 per cent result of its First Batch in the
years 2005 & 2006 under the guidance & supervision of experienced
faculty and facilitation of advanced technological laboratories and
practical opportunities to the students through its attached teaching
hospitals. WMC has received an overwhelming response in Pakistan
and abroad.
Both the institutes are situated within the premises of a campus at
Murree Road Abbottabad.
