Feisty Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has never shied away from speaking his mind.
So it was not surprising that the veteran Indian opening batsman refused to duck when an Indian news channel reporter asked if India should play cricket with Pakistan at a time when diplomatic relations between the two nuclear powers are at an all-time low.
"I absolutely endorse no cricket ties with Pakistan till the time cross border terrorism finishes," Gambhir told Times Now.

"I feel people need to put themselves in the shoes of the people who have lost their kids, their fathers, their husbands," the 35-year-old batsman added.
Gambhir was obviously referring to those people in India who have criticised the decision to ban Pakistani actors and drama serials in India.
The Kolkata Knight Riders captain made it clear which side he was with.
"I mean it's very easy to say that people should not compare cricket with politics or Bollywood should not be compared with politics, but only those who have lost their loved ones can feel the pain," Gambhir said.
"We should secure our country first and other things can be just kept aside. So we should play no cricket until the time cross-border terrorism is over."
Gambhir had also posted messages of support on Twitter for the families of the soldiers who lost their lives in terror attacks in the Indian-administered Kashmir.
