Tamil Nadu Telugu Yuva Sakshi, a Chennai-based NGO, filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Supreme Court requesting a CBI investigation into the death of J Jayalalithaa, according to ANI. The NGO also sought the recovery of all relevant medical documents. Telugu Yuva Sakshi has alleged that Jayalalithaa was poisoned and there should be a stay on all transactions on the wealth she has left behind. The PIL was filed in the division bench headed by Chief Justice of India Tirath Singh Thakur of the Supreme Court. According to The Hindu, the PIL is under scrutiny. There are unconfirmed reports that the Supreme Court has dismissed the PIL.
