Weather alert: Strong winds, waves up to 8ft to hit UAE

The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) announced that weather across the UAE today is expected to be hot in general to partly cloudy and hazy at times.
The NCM added that there will be light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times by afternoon, which may cause blowing dust over some exposed areas.

Strong winds will veer southeasterly to northeasterly, 20 - 38, reaching 48kph at times in the mountain areas during day time.
Meanwhile, the NCM stated that sea current will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in the Oman Sea. Strong waves up to 8 feet could hit UAE.
The temperature in the country is also expected to rise. The highest temperature recorded over the country on Saturday was 48.4 °C in Mezaira at 1:00pm, while the lowest temperature today morning was 25.6 °C in Jais Mountain at 5:45am.

Hot days ahead
The outlook for the next days is more of the same, hot in general during the day time, partly cloudy and hazy at times. There will be slight fall in temperature over the weekend. Light to moderate winds freshening at times over some northern areas, causing blowing dust and poor horizontal visibility over exposed areas.
