His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has some useful advice on how to fight diabetes.
In an Instagram video posted today by young Emirati social media star, Mayed Al Murr, the Ruler can be seen interacting with Al Murr and a young girl at a meeting today over combating the disease
Replying to a question by the young Emiratis on how to fight diabetes, Sheikh Mohammed replies that by having an active lifestyle, playing sports and having a proper diet.
The video has since gone viral on social media and uploaded by multiple pages on Instagram.

The Ruler was at a National Agenda meeting today where he honoured individuals and community groups, including 'Diabetes Superheroes' - children who have made an effective contribution in spreading awareness inside and outside schools about diabetes, its dangers, ways of preventing it, the role of early detection in treatment, healthy habits, exercise and a healthy diet. They are: Rashid Hussein, Mayed Al Murr, Dana Al Jasmi, and Alia Ahmed.

The event also highlighted 'The Ideal Diabetic' - this is the patient who is more familiar with the symptoms of diabetes, and more committed to regular follow-up and a healthy lifestyle.
Sheikh Mohammed also honoured Nisaa Abdul Aziz for making great progress in controlling their blood sugar in a short period of time.
