UAE's Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE) has lifted the ban on the import of all kinds of live domestic and wild birds from Netherlands.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, the ministry announced that it had lifted the ban on ornamental birds, chicks, hatching eggs and their thermally not treated wastes from the Netherlands, and on the import of poultry meat and thermally not treated products and table eggs from the previously affected province of "Flevoland" in Netherlands.
Earlier this year, the Ministry prohibited the import of all kinds of live domestic and wild birds from Tennessee, US, along with meat and eggs that are not thermally treated.
The ban was based on the notification from the World Organization for Animal Health about the registration of highly pathogenic avian influenza in commercial farms in Tennesse.
The import of all kinds of live domestic and wild birds, ornamental birds, and chicks was also prohibited from the Republic of Croatia.
