UAE residents have been warned against flying drones in undesignated areas, according to a statement issued by General Authority of Civil Aviation today.
Taking to Twitter to raise awareness about laws regarding flying/operating drones in UAE, the GCAA said drone owners are only allowed to fly them in designated areas.
"Anyone who lands or takes off drones from outside designated areas can either face imprisonment or a fine, not exceeding Dh100,000, unless the operator has obtained a special authorization to do so from the competent or appropriate authority.
